You should have been there when we had 50% more players playing on a single small map :old:

Furthermore, peak time is only the smaller part of the day... try having fun with less than 100 players on a big map like Ozkansas... ;)

I can only assume you couldn't fly off to 30k at leisure and bounce everything.

So a little heat in the kitchen and you have to wine about it to the girls.

Have much less pilots online now than we had in years. Most of the day we are way below "300-400" players, in fact for a large part of it we are under 100 players. Not the perfect timing for getting rid of small maps ;)
And with the possible exception of beta2, 300 players still works on most maps.


Don't get me wrong, I love large maps and the increased gameplay opportunities they can provide by design - in fact I was campaigning hard after the arena split to get them back into the game - but you need a minimum level of players all day to allow for gameplay on large maps.

For "too many" there sure were a lot of bases without any red or green dots over them.
