Conflicting Drivers?
« on: December 11, 2012, 06:22:45 PM »
I noticed that my Mainboard CD installs Sound Drivers and so does my Video Card CD. Won't those conflict?

if you dont have speakers connected to your video card then dont install the sound drivers, there drivers are mainly for sound to monitor while using hdmi, i think.  the same also goes for 3d drivers.

if you have an nvidia card then dont use the express install.  choose manual and only install the vc drivers plus the physx that is all you need.

Same goes for ATI cards.  Use the "custom" install and uncheck the option to install the sound drivers.

All video cards, with HDMI ports, have sound drivers for it.  If you do not plan on depending on the video card to send sound to your television/monitor speakers, then DO NOT INSTALL those drivers!!  They will conflict with other sound card options.
