I've shot down a few Chogs and -4's, no ach., but I did get it for shooting down a 262 in a 262 *shrugs*

I can confirm the achievement works for killing an F4U-4.

Works for 51 vs 262, F4U4, B29, and Tempest also.

Maybe it requires you to shoot down a ride of equal or higher perkies?  I got it panther v/s panther.
