On topic about the fuel - my unit was in the field doing some cross training for a few days and we came across this

 I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't work,,, our 5 ton has it,( solid axles), I am pretty sure I've seen late model M-35s with it as well last time i was at the depot in Colorado
I would love to know why it supposedly wouldn't work?

I should be more specific to say that without portal axles, or major mods to my hubs, it is not something that is cost-effective for the average Joe to do.  It has been a topic of discussion on the Wrangler forums for quite some time.
