Aces High Player Buyout Group
« on: January 03, 2013, 06:08:15 AM »
For those among us who have played the game for years, it is a love/hate relationship for this game.  It's time to take that complexity to the next level.  We, the Players, should work together to buy this game and have HiTech Creations work for us directly.

I propose we form a coalition of players to pool together massive amounts of lotto tickets each drawing.  Players wishing to be an equal part owner would have to put up front a small Buy-in fee that is refundable should they choose to leave.

Once the grand jackpot has been won worth millions, we buy the game for $1,000,000 dollars and retain the staff and increase their wages.  The new owners get to choose the new aircraft and vehicles plus other additions to the game.

All in favor raise your hand and say,"I'll but that for a dollar!"

Details to be worked out by those interested in the takeover operations.

Is HTC privately owned?

If so, buying it out isn't an option.

It would be like me walking up to someone and saying:

Me:  I have money.  I'm buying your house.

Someone:  But my house isn't for sale.

Me:  IRRELEVANT!  I have money.

At least that's my common-sense take on it.

The last time someone got really p-ed off by an on-line sim and wanted change, they had to go and try to make their own.

Target Rabaul, I believe it was.

Me thinks HTC is not for sale... but everything has its price.

While I agree that AH is lacking in certain areas, it is still the top dog in terms of air combat sims thanks to rather good flight model.

My biggest issue with AH is the hardness values assigned to the ground game, the rank and scoring system, and the lack of an accurate ENY/OBJ system.

HTC has done well over the years I do believe, granted if they did have the funding perhaps another "coader" or two may speed up the addition of new aircraft and the updating of current aircraft (been in a SBD or C205 lately?).

There are lots of things we down here in the trenches have no clue on what is going on the behind closed doors of HTC.  I say give them the benefit of the doubt.  ;)

zarkov, the guys who made "Target Rabaul" were not game designers, just sim enthusiasts. They never understood what makes a game "good", only that they wanted it as realistic as possible, because in their closed little minds they thought everyone else wanted that.

NOBODY WANTS REALISM IN A GAME WITHOUT A HINT OF INSANITY. :D

Can you put in a caveat that if it's purchased by a lotto winner it's 50% of their winnings or $10M, whichever is higher?
