Would you mind sharing? You actually want to remove the downdraught as a useful adjunct to maintain people below the max altitude? You like sorting out post-frame arguments about who cheated by being above 23k? Why do it different this particular FSO series to every other use of the downdraught?
Please share - I'm intrigued.
i've got all fighters max alt of 23k. there's a high probability of a 21k to 23k merge. at that point someone's gonna bust that alt cap by a couple hundred feet. it would suck for you in your zeek to manage to gain a great advantage over a p40 because you went a mere 100ft above the cap, and the downdraft blew your airplane straight down, while you're inverted and nearly stalled. and the same for the p40 managing to gain a good advantage on the p40.
so my choice with this was to allow a buffer zone, and let everyone run on a sort of honor system. it must've worked last week, 'cause the massive number of p40's i spotted weren't any higher than 23k. on top of that, not a single complaint of anyone busting the limit.
i like to think that 99.99999999999999999999999999
99999999999999999999999999999
999999999999999999% of the great pilots in here(even those trouble makers in jg54
) wouldn't deliberate bust the alt cap, if the downdraft were left totally off.
when i look at the squad lists, and the pilot names, i see a LOT i recognize from years of cartoon flying, and some i don't recognize. what i also realize, is that i see lots of people that i've come to respect over the years. i know it sounds cheezy, but that's how i feel.
if you want, i'll adjust the two to coincide.......i was simply trying to leave a bit of a buffer zone is all. i'm easy. this is my fun. i seriously enjoy doing the reading, and research to make these, even if i don't make them perfect. then when i see everyone having fun, THAT makes it worth every second i spent.
