A Salute To 71 Squadron
« on: January 25, 2013, 06:22:00 PM »
From:
His Imperial Protuberance
His Excellency
President for Life
Field Marshal
Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas
Conqueror of the British Empire in The Pacific in General
and Uganda in Particular

To The Pilots of 71 Squadron,
Gentlemen, on behalf of The 47 Ronin, I
thank you all for the comraderie and friendship
extended to us last night when we held our
weekly "Squad Night" as Knights.
The evening went exceedingly well and I think
my pilots thoroughly enjoyed the change of pace
and the ability to fly -with- guys they've only
flown -against- over the years. It's not something
done often and tends to pull a lot of guys out of
their "comfort zone".
That the night went as well as it did is a tribute
to the character of you all.
I salute you and again, thank you for the courtesy
and friendship extended towards us over the course
of the evening.

Sincerely,
Oddball
Commanding Officer
The 47 Ronin

are you trying to wind them up??? they hate being called 71st!!!

71 RAF squadron.  tsk  :old:

nice to see some country loyal players mixing it up and making friends on the other teams.   If only other squads like the jokers did this things might be more cordial.   :aok

It was a very good night. Lots of fun ad laughs, plus one epic bombing mission.
Salute to you and your squad.

71 is, overall, a great group of guys.

47 Ronin is a class act as well.

I wish I could have made it..but as I work nights I usually miss most of the fun. Sounds like from all accounts you guys had a great time and I know 71 Sqd., did.

Hopefully we can do this again and I can make it.

I have enjoyed getting to meet your guys when we flew the few sorties a couple weeks ago. Always gret to meet new people that you gight against and fight along side for a bit.

<S> to you and your squad....

Had a GREAT time with you and TG, Odd.  Was a shame I couldn't get on until late; we'll have to do it again soon!  <S!>
