Here is a Historical Achievement by  Fighter Group: On March 24,1945, the 332nd FG flew the longest escort mission ever flown by the
15th USAAF to Berlin. The 332nd FG was suppose to be relieved by another Fighter Group, however that other Fighter Group never showed
up. So the 332nd FG contiune onward never leaving the Bombers they were escorting alone.
Once at Berlin, in the pursueing Air to Air engagement in and around Berlin, Roscoe C. Brown Jr., Charles Brantly and Earl Lane, each shot down
a Me 262 a piece. So how about this "Shoot Down three Me 262 in a P-51D.

Sorry if anyone suggested these before.

Successfuly complete a sortie launched and recovered off a carrier.  "Wings of Gold" / Naval Aviator Badge
Shoot down 34 aircraft while flying a F6F.  "Ace of Aces" / David McCampbell (Highest scoring US Navy ace of WWII, 3rd highest in US forces, highest scoring ace to survive the war.)
Shoot down 5,223 aircraft while flying a F6F.  Hellcat Mastery / Cat Tamer / "You've done this, how many times?" (The F6F in service during WWII with the USN, USMC, RNFAA were credited with destroying 5,223 aircraft in combat.)
Shoot down 4,950 aircraft while flying a P51 (B and D).  Mustang Mastery / Horse Tamer / "Riding the pony"

Babalonian's idea of somehow recognizing the massive kills by Ponys and Hellcats is a decent idea, if that many kills are registered in one month.

I fly the 190A5 almost exclusively. I would be happy to find some thresholds in Butcher Birds, so Gallands 99 kills all the way to Nowotny. It would be fun to track how many kills you've had in a month by which ace.

Again, if that is of interest I am happy to track down names and numbers. Just let me know.

I wouldn't suggest within a month, or even a year.  The real pilots in wartime conditions even had a few years to accumulate that number.

It hopefuly would have a hefty reward for earning it.  If it would likely take your average AH pilot, flying an average of 2-hours every day (or alternatively one or two days on the weekend), racking up an average of 10-kills an hour (a very generous rate), 261.15 days to earn that single achievement.  If bombing 5 ammo bunkers is doable in ~30 minutes for 10-reputation points, then to scale the reward for an achievement that took 261 2-hour days to earn will/should/could be huuuge.  Not that getting 5,223 kills in a F6F isn't already an awesome achievement in this game, but imagine if it got you 500 or even 1k reputation-points for it (or, alternatively, a unique star/symbol next to your name on the roster/buffer).

IMHO: I don't think there should be a lot of "big" achievements, but there shouldn't be a lot of "little" or easy achievements either.  A good balance should have a few on both ends of the spectrum.

 Pyro,

 Has HTC considered some achievement awards for the TA?

  Such as I setup my Joystick.... the poindexter

    I took off and landed...  The Woodstock  {bird in charlie brown}

 There's many more I suppose but the purpose would be to encourage players to actually go into the TA and use it.

I'd also like to see this one for the TA;

'Helping Hand'

Awarded by a Trainer to anyone who helps out someone in the TA or the MA that they didn't know previously, without expectation of a reward. It is extremely aggravating to see the community giving new players the wrong information because they think it is funny.

Especially the Alt+F4 and enter three times advice. It's just not nice, and some sensitive folks might be extremely discouraged by that.

the alt-f4 is even more lame now than it was before, because now it doesn't even work... aces high captures the keystroke and asks you to confirm.  :neener:

The "All American"

B-24G of the 765th BS, 461st BG on a mission on 25 JUL 44 was credited with shooting down 14 enemy aircraft during the mission.

Due to our short span missions it might be better to make this simply shooting down 14 enemy aircraft from a bomber.  Fourteen kills in a single sortie would be a challenge.

Shoot down two Me 262s in a prop driven fighter in a single sortie: - Urban Drew.

Or make it less specific: Shoot down two jets in a prop driven fighter in a single sortie.
