From reading peoples comments I must have downloaded the wrong game.
AH and ROF are the benchmarks in my opinion.
Warthunder seemed to be mass of menus, biplanes and a system of buying planes which I never got a grasp of 
I bought Wings of Prey which was not very good but looked nice.
