FLS,
I checked into the things you were wondering about. The raw and scaled damping were okay - full movement and no jumping around. The throttle range went from 0 - 65535, with no jumping. The 0 was at the full throttle position and 65535 at the bottom, is that right or backwards? Regarding the +,- key mapping, I tried to map the keys to rpm increase and decrease in the flight mode and throttle up and down in global. Both to no avail.
Thx for your considerations.

Try renaming the games 'settings' folder and test it offline to see if the throttle is working.  You might need to remap the "Throttle 1" command to the throttle again, but do that and nothing else.

See if it works.  Just trying to get back to a level playing ground.

Did you check the stick rudder mapping?

Skuzzy,
I renamed the settings folder in AH from ("settings" to "Settings"), went off line and it didn't seem to make much difference. I was in a P38, from a dead stop, at take off, as I increased the throttle, I could only bring it to 50% to get the rpm's to 25 and manifold pressure to 45. Anything beyond that would kick it back down. Same thing while in flight.
I had also checked the rudder mapping and it was okay.
If I start out with the throttle at 100% in the hanger, it's okay - full power and extra with WEP. Weird, I know.
Guess I'll just fly with it as is for now and begin to look for a new stick. Thanks for all your assistance.

When you calibrate in Windows, do you have full range of motion on the throttle axis?

Success ! I want to let you all know that my issue is corrected. Renaming the setting folder did work after all, once I changed the name completely. To change "settings" to "Settings" alone was not addequate. I do have a full range of throttle in a variety of planes, in flight and on the runway. That is going to make a big difference for me now. Look out Rooks & Bishops - LOL.
Thanks to everyone who helped.
