I'd be more concerned with North Korea if they didn't have 90% of the country without electricity. Right now they just want to act all big and tough, but honestly they just don't have the military or political power to do so.

North Korea would be a good place for China to show their military might off to the world, remove the North Korean leadership, and then show off how they can be a good world citizen by handing over the reigns of the country to the South.  It would be like Kuwait was for the US for them, except earning the gratitude of a much more important and many times larger future trade partner.  They would have a strong ally in a united Korea from then on.  This makes a lot more political sense than remaining allies with the current backwards North Korean dictatorship which does nothing but suck resources from China with no hope for a future return on the investment.

Many people seem to think that NoKo is dark because they have no ability to generate.. Like stone age..
Not so, they have massive Hydro power dams.. Many built right after WW2 with Soviet engineers..
They have more Generating Capacity than the population needs..

The country is dark, because the slavers want it that way.. Kinda hard to get info from outside, when there is no electricity, at all.. And if you tried to generate your own, that would be subversive, off to the gulag for you!
It is a total prison society.. Stalin would have wet dreams over the NoKo system of control, the totality of it..
It's amazing to me, like a freak show..

My pop said that place was a barren frozen wasteland.. Not worth diggin a hole to take a dump in..
He was WIA on a hill above the Yudam/ni valley the night of Nov 27 1950..
They piled the Chinese in Heaps that night!

You forgot North Korea shelling that island in ?2010? that killed 4 people and them firing on that South Korean ship killing 46 people.

Then some guy defecting to North Korea that stole a fishing boat and got away from South Korea a few days ago lol.

Also, the report saw said there were only two stealth fighters sent over from Japan.
