Well I'd rather see an airshow cut than some poor slob overseas wondering where his air support went.

No I'm not it was a stupid comment and deserved that answer. The far reaching economical repercussions to community's that rely on the Blues coming to town are far reaching and at the same time will reduce the number of enthusiastic new flyer's wanting to grow up to be fighter pilots.
We ARE AMERICA  there is no need to cut one for the other. If there ever is that moment in our country then we the people need to speak out and make a change.

The Blue Angels are a Navy Demonstration Team. Their job? To impress and recruit members to the Military.

Now according to your response to Rino.. you're going to tell me a few recruits from the Blue Angels shows are more valuable than an Air Strike that could save a entire squad or more from any number threats?

There's literally hundreds of videos on Youtube of the Blue Angels performing and doing what they do best.

You realize we have internet and TV these days right? Not to mention HUNDREDS of other air shows that can and will impress those who aspire to become pilots.

Yes, we 'ARE AMERICA', that doesn't mean we have unlimited amounts of money laying around. You know we're already like 16 trillion dollars in debt...right?

If ever, anyone sees an air show as more important than an air strike saving troops in Afghanistan then they really should reconsider a few things IMO.

Rino places a soldier's safety over a circus and he gets called an idiot for his trouble.  Interesting.

Towns get 2-3 days of airshows a year.  If they're relying on that to turn their fortunes, there's something very wrong.

Discretionary spending needs to be cut first.  Entertainment is discretionary spending.  We can't afford it.  You don't pay the cable bill before heat.

I'd rather know that my country is safe rather than watching an airshow.

OK fine if its about what the country is spending

Then first cut is foreign aid.  Way before you take a American Icon down that effects community's and their pocket books.
Blue Angles air shows contribute so much more money in taxes to local economy's as well as the whole nations economy than any other project the government of this United States Of America has ever produced.

Obviously not when we've had to cancel carrier deployments due to lack of funds.
