a  wish i had is  to have a repair pad on  a airfield, Like the Re-fuel Re-arm Pad, But with the Repair pad you would have to wait 2mins-4mins, Or whatever HT thinks would be best :rock

A repair pad?  Nah, it takes more than a NASCAR style dash of fuel and ammo crewmen to repair damage.  I say leave it as is, if the plane is actually damaged then there is no repair until you tower out.

I do think the reload/refuel time could be lengthened a wee bit, I will agree.  Oh, and obviously HTC currently thinks 30 seconds is the "best" time.   ;)

well it takes another player to do a supply drop to rearm and fix your GV..so you're really not fixing yourself...just saying..where as a rearm and refueling pad you do by yourself as an aircraft.so not really the same thing...just my 2 cents :salute

Did you mean could the...? If so, then yes. It depended on which side you were fighting for and at what particular point in the war!

if you ever refueled and rearmed a tank , like I've done at many occasions, you know it take lots of time, putting shells into place through top hatch, mg-ammo, but fixing tracks / whatever is REALLY hard work, and imagine you sit exposed out of the battlefield with 1/2 crew outside , second half inside replenishing / fixing stuff.
Engines repair are not easy stuff in tanks too, I spent endless hours fixing with them damned things.

i say IF field tank repairs are being made out on the battlefield as AH have now , some aircraft  repairs should be enabled at  hangar.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

I believe HT's reasoning for the Vehicle repair system is the long transit time for vehicles to and from the battle from their bases. Therefore he has allowed repairs on vehicles to keep the fight going. Aircraft do no have the same issues with transit time, plus it is quicker to tower out and get a fresh aircraft then it is to taxi to the re-arm pad re-arm then taxi back to the runway. People asking for repairs on aircraft usually have one motive in mind. Getting repaired so they can get a bigger number and next to thier name in lights. It has nothing to do with keeping the fight going.

I can be made to believe a WWII tank crew could redneck engineer a battlefield fix in 30 seconds before I could believe a WWII ground crew could repair an oil hit in the same amount of time.

-1 to the repair pad.

That sounds pretty plausible and reasonable.  I agree. -1 to repairing aircraft.  Wouldn't bother me if we couldn't rearm them either, except in FSO.

It takes longer to refuel and rearm than 30 seconds (in real life), yet we have that. I'm for the extra wait.

Ahh,  you wish to quibble.   Cool.

I could be made to believe a tank crew could redneck engineer battle damage in 30 seconds  BEFORE I could believe a more complex machine like a WW2 fighter could be repaired in the same amount of time.

You smell me now bro?   It's kind of like a sliding scale of believability and stuff.

Sounds good, we have the 30 minutes it takes to refuel and rearm an aircraft scaled down to 30 seconds. So maybe they could scale down the 4 days or so it takes to repair a battle damged aircraft into 4 hours of game time, to get yourself more kills by your name.  :lol

No, no I don't. The aroma hasn't reached me yet. But I reckon they ain't enough rednecks in the army to fix the damage from a 75mm in 30 seconds.

Ok. Lets see if we can get your quibbling arse up to speed with the English language before we go any further.  If I say that I can believe A before I'd believe Z, I'm not so much saying I believe A as much as I'm saying Z is completely stupid and useless.  Sort of like your initial quibble with what I said.

Do you understand what I just typed?
