I'm a fan of the Sovereign-class Enterprise E. Much sleeker than any of the other Enterprises.

I saw it.  I was entertained.  Didn't like the reworked Enterprise though...

So how does Khan end up on Ceti Alpha VI

Also, wasn't Khan supposed to be Indian.

Maybe he was running a 7/11 franchise store there?

Gyrene

You're wrong about Enterprise. There's nothing wrong with the configuration, but the variations. This...

(Image removed from quote.)

...is simply one of the best ship designs EVER. Everything about it just looks RIGHT. The "new" Enterprise from the remake just looks awkward in its lines and proportions. They should have either kept the classic design and just updated the effects model for more detail, or used something closer to the refit style.
that is not an efficient nor effective design...look at all the points of failure. it's deep space and faster than light travel. just looking at the structural design, the enterprise is a disaster.

the romulans had at least 1 better design...

the voyager was an improvement over the enterprise design...

I saw it with German subtitles so I couldn't tell what the Klingons were saying.  Then I fell asleep a few scenes later.

It was cool to see the Enterprise blacked out and the new cast is pretty decent.  I cant stand Shatner so there is some bias.

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

It was amazing.

I loved the first movie reboot of Star Trek, and as Star Trek is a series, it is natural for the sequel to be "the same".

However... I am a sinner, a heathen to you elder trekkies on here....

Best Trek of all time.

Both Kirk and Roddenberry would disagree ;)

Meh. I got paid to go see it and lunch was included; not sure I would have seen it had that not been the case.  Though it was interesting to see a place I use to work at used in parts of the movie. The engineering spaces around/outside the warp drive were all apparently shot at the target chamber of the NIF facility at the livermore labs.

Out of two possible thumbs up, I give the movie a shrug.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

ya know, it's good of you to maintain the levity and point that out.  :aok  a hundred years ago, wireless telephones, electric cars, and men travelling into space were science fiction too...  :neener:
