There has been a hint that the updated Yaks are coming in the next version.

I heard through the rumor mill that we might be getting an update to the F4F (perhaps including a - 3) and FM2.

And the guy heard this from also called the Tiger II six months before hand, and the 410 3 1/2 months before. He's either reliable, or a stupid-lucky guesser.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Given other aircraft that have been released after the Yak and been updated first is a disappointment, plus the endless hangar queens, GV's, American rides and development time wasting events like ToD, WW1.

The above wouldn't surprise me in the least.  :bhead

The Yaks are now the oldest plane model in the game that haven't had a single update since probably Beta, and still some 13+ years on not a hint they will be updated anytime soon other than for a rumour or two..

For years I've been saying priority should go to completing all the original AH1 aircraft before releasing any new plane or GV, but that opinion is always voted down by the xbox crowd looking for the next and greatest gun platform to take down bases and vulch.

At least the Lavochkins were updated. That in some way brings hope that the Yaks are coming soon.

When we get updated Yaks, the 9U (or 3, if we get it) will be my main ride, no question.

The Me410 won the vote.  Everybody who had paid attention to the vote called that one.

Problem is most who voted - have not a clue what they were voting on, just a general idea - the B29 won same for Me410 just because "big guns".

Much as I hate to say, I am against voting, just add the planes.

But both were great additions to AH. And the 410 is still not the Hangar Queen some predicted it to be :)

Thing is though every plane that HTC enters in to AH is "voted" in.  They simply gave the players a vote and in this circumstance they voted for the B29, then the Me410, etc.

The He111 was not voted in.  The Ki-43 Oscar was not voted in. The 4 models (2 new and 2 remodels) of P40's were not voted in. IIRC, the wonderbird Brewster B-239 was not voted in.  Mossi B Mk XVI?  Nope.  If we look at the number of planes and gv's HTC has added in to the AH line up over the past 5 years, just how many were voted in and just how many were added by the prerogative of HTC?

As much as I cringe when I see the likes of the Me410 get voted upon over a plane or gv with a larger or more important role in WWII (SB-2, Wellington, Beaufighter, D520, Pzr III, StuG, etc), I fully support HTC's allowing the players to vote.  Though, now that it has been added I do enjoy using the Me410.  It is a one of a kind bomber killer, no doubt.   :aok

Brewster B-239 was not voted in.

That's because no one expected HT to give us a hot rod version of the Brew beyond belief with it's performance. If they'd known then nearly everyone would of voted for it.
