Times may change. But, without any real moment to moment survival pressures with their life as collateral. Youth needs flashy busy, loud distractions and objectives to achieve to keep their head in anything for very long until the impulse control center of their brain matures or doesn't. Or 13 weeks in boot.

Flashy flashy, shiny shiny, boom boom, piu piu, neon colors, loud noises. Sex, drugs and rockNroll.

IIRC, AH (or Player Base) was at one time researching medals for
Combat Tour, that never was implemented?
Been years so not sure.
In the "Hall of Aces.org" ( was run by Dhyran I believe) they used to give players Medals for events
that were held in AH.

Yes, that really happened.
Though this was research for real life medals, which would have been kinda appropriate for the Combat Tour / Tour of Duty setting, but not in the MA with the imaginary countries AH has.
