I've had several situation where I have 1 enemy in front of me, and 3 (or more) behind me. It's obvious I've got the guy in front of me because I'm shooting him and parts are falling off him, yet the "friendly" decides the plane on my 12 falling to pieces is the biggest threat to me and kills him. Needless to say the 3 other guys on my 6 end up killing me shortly after.

Please clear 6's, not 12's.

If Ruaml's incursion was prior to yesterday, he may not have heard you. I believe he was in time out.  :devil

Have this happen a lot.

Even worse i can never hit an enemy dead 6 with a tater but every time a friendly dives in to clear my 12 i manage to tater them perfectly lol.

The best ones are when you've got a plane low and slow and a friendly joins in and moans your getting in there guns while you're still trying to pull angle on the con whos E and advantage you've drained off while they're just in for the easy kill.

My philosophy on this is that if I clearly hear it then I will perch and wait. I do this to be a backup to a teammate, and to prevent them from letting the guy come back and get me as I get to where I was going anyway. If I do not know the person I am much more likely to stick around than if I see someone I know who I trust to know if they can get the guy or not.

Also, sometimes I think folks don't realize that their vox cuts out or that they are hard to understand sometimes. I went in on a contact last week and the guy was like why did you do that and I honestly thought he said something about needing help.

For me, I am usually happy for someone to kill the guy I am chasing. Its a bandit in the dirt. Occasionally a guy irritates me and I want the kill, but very, very rarely do I go all "bonsai" as Magoo says.

Final answer: its the MA. You wouldn't expect people to not chase a single 109 over the english channel while four others stand around watching would you? Granted I love it when Rooks have six guys on one La7 and they know from the DAR that there are another six coming at altitude.  :headscratch:

I do not recall a time in when one could count on somebody staying out of a fight just because it was requested.  I think some of you look at the past with rose colored glasses.

Getting the kill is of no importance to me; I'll stay out if asked, and I'd expect others to allow me to enjoy the game by respecting a request to stay out of a fight. Sadly, it seems that today it's more about killing the red icon no matter what, instead of people actually being allowed to fight and have fun in a combat game.

I don't really recall having much of a problem with folks jumping in my fights after being asked to stay out. What I hate is when I'm in a good battle and the 2nd red guy jumps in and kills me. That happens ALL the time. But hey, it's the MA and is to be expected and not worth getting bent out of shape about..............none of this stuff is actually.  ;)

I don't understand what would make you type this within this thread.  :headscratch:

A fight, was ruined. The fight is what counted. The lost opportunity to finish said fight on even terms is what irks many people at these kill at all cost greenie retards filling the airspace.

"score and rank mean nothing", (I don't know how many times I have to repeat that, I say it to guests on my squadvox all the time).

I do not recall a time in when one could count on somebody staying out of a fight just because it was requested.  I think some of you look at the past with rose colored glasses.

I myself ask before jumping in on a 1v1, a number of people have around me asked first aswell.. The guys that do ask first know who they are, and they are great people in my book  :aok

There is something somewhere written about a community of a certain size policing itself; these idiots going to clear 12's for their own score or kill tally, need to be policed by us as a community, as it were. Maybe their own kills are few and far between and they act out of desperation, but it doesn't make the act of 12 clearing when asked to stay out, acceptable.

You guys saying that you should expect nothing from others (common courtesy ingame, telling people to stay out, it's the MA), are a part of the problem; grow some balls and chew them, don't satisfy for that mentality. Inaction/apathy for it is a detriment to everyone, yourself and those around you.

-f*** you, why you were turning away?
 :ahand

-help me with this brewster! ... f*** you, his BREEEEEWSTEEEEEERR IS OUTTURNING MY BREEEEWSTER, ITS A F***ING CHEATER? CANT YOU SEE IT!!!!
-theres no cheating in this game. Use your flaps.
-F*** YOU, FRIGGEN MUPPET!!!!!!!!
 :ahand

Just priceless.

I had the same thing with a guy called ammo a few tours ago, I told him I was dragging out a con to fight him, and he jumped in the guys 6.
I left the area and let him get shot down for it. Range vox was a little heated, I didn't enjoy doing that but his lesson; learned.

Respectfully, its kinda sad that after ten-something years, you cant get what a good fight means to some.
Not the kill.
Not the score.
Not the fricken rank.
Something else you might have never seen.

Um, no. I'm not part of 'your problem' at all. There is no active campaign against 'common courtesy.' You, however, appear to be spearheading a campaign for such. Good luck with that. I anticipate no thread from you in the future that indicates everything went satisfactorily and that you now enjoy the game more than ever.

When it comes to maturity and the nature of the game environment, the blamers are no better than the gamers.
