Been asked for so many times. It'd be awesome, but probably not going to happen.

It's not hard to code, it's just resource intensive.  We have individual skins, but they're picked from a list of relatively few.  Adding in per-player nose art would mean every noseart for every player would need to be downloaded to your PC at some point, and loaded when they come into view.

300-odd nose arts in the MA at primetime.

Although I'd love to see it, not sure if we ever will.

That does make sense.  Maybe someday or the big brains at HTC could possibly figure out a way :)

considering the size of the artwork, it wouldn't be much more of a load than all the skins are now. the thing is, nose art would be so small who would see it? the only purpose would be for screenshots and movies...otherwise it's useless fluff.

Communication and server load would take a hit too because it'd have to go by the individual, not just the squad for noseart.

Assuming things worked effortlessly and by magic, during events it would be *kinda* neat to have your squad flying in formation with individual noseart/markings on the plane.  I agree though, not a whole lot of usefulness.

htc has stated repeatedly the main server isn't close to being taxed and they just put in new servers so i seriously doubt the load would be noticeable. player systems would be more likely to take a frame rate hit, but if there is an option to disable other player nose art, it wouldn't be much of a factor.
