Chutes killing tanks

I find it a bug that a pilot can kill a tank. Please fix this.

The systems logs the kill as "chute" it is the pilot with his wee .45 killing tanks.

Proxy kill because of ending flight not on concrete near chute.......or he pinged you with pistol before the victim ended flight.

It pays to take the extra time to drive away from any potential proxy kill recipients.

One of the guys has 15, most are tanks.

Maybe he shot the driver through the driver's port?  When WW2OL first came out, you were able to kill the driver of a tank that way, run up and empty your pistol into the driver's view port before you got ran over and if you lived, shoot the commander once he popped out of his hatch.

Hmmm, now I think I know why pilots have been shooting my vehicle. So in a case where you are being hit by field ack, which eventually kills you, a pilot gets a kill when pings you with his .45? So what is the kill as, is it as a fighter (the variant they were up in) or as a pilot/chute?

It's just noted as a kill in "Chute" for the stats and doesn't count for any score at all.

Thanks akak, lusche, I guess my point is that it is an achievement. Pinging a tank and hanging out for the kill is a bit different than shooting an airplane from a chute ... something I have never done.

I remember one time when I was a army seal and i jumped out of a plane and landed on top of the tank and put a grenade in there with the tank guy. He got kilt.
