THIS IS THE BBC HOME SERVICE!



Smaller formations of enemy raiders made for London today, but were dashingly turned away as RAF Spitfires and Hurricanes engaged in battle.



There was damage to the suburbs of London by enemy bombers, but the city limits seemed to have gone untouched.

Cheers to the gallantry of the RAF!
