What things keep you from AH?

  That's awesome uptown. Are you with a railroad company or 3rd party company that refurbishes? Maybe an SD40? or my favorite SD40T-2.

We're primarily a 3rd party company, repairing wrecks and overhauling but we also custom build our own units for sale or lease.

We work on SD40s nonstop it seems like. Between Union Pacific and BNSF we usually have 3 or 4 in the shop at any one time. Those units are what get the bills paid.   I like the GEs best as they're easier to get up and down on and not as cramped in the cab, although a beeotch to work on compared to SDs.

Yes, but extenuating circumstances didn't help too much, being a dementia caregiver the biggest among others. Still no excuse.
And I do hope your laughing at me and not with me as I really don't laugh too often or enough.

The bridge comment stuck me as funny. I feel your pain though. I've been trying to rebuild a transmission for my sons truck for over a month now. Usually it'd take me just a couple of days but after twisting wrenches all day at work I just can't get motivated to work on the damned thing when I get home at night. I really do have to get on the ball though. Chores just keep a coming no matter what. Now my mom wants me to work on her house on my free time as well

yeah    no kiddin.  unfortunately most four-wheelers don't bother to drive past the ends of their hoods and things like that happen.   no issues from your company though?
