To be fair a Bigfoot like creature was at one point walking the earth, possibly at the same time as humans . So in your hypothetical Ark scenario, yes it's fair to say there may have been a Bigfoot.  :aok

long walk eh?  :bhead

Do we assume this is a dumb animal? How about a smart animal with a large brain that can sense or smell you humans from miles away? You can disappear in the wild even though you are being sought:

Bio: Troy James Knapp has been evading capture for nearly seven years. Funny thing is, police didn't even know who they were tracking until early 2012. The legend of the mysterious "Utah Mountain Man" began in 2006 with a series of break-ins of high resort style cabins. He stole from the rich, and kept all his loot for himself. Over the seven years he stole from an area the size of Delaware. Authorities attempting to track him would think they were close one day, only to find out there was another cabin break-in fifteen miles away later that day. This guy would get by making shelters from anything and everything: tarps, caves, earth mounds, but most notoriously in seasonal cabins.

So how did police catch a guy who they couldn't identify? Well in 2012 he finally started to slip. Not only was he starting to leave clues, but he was caught on a hidden game camera. This image is from early in the year when officials were finally able to pin the criminal as Troy Knapp.

Yes dickhead. I'm an irrational savage who worships the sun god, sacrifices babies so the cops will grow, and live near the dragons villiage right down the street from the unicorn graveyard.

lol, relax man, just examples of what the human mind does in order to explain things.  I did not mean to say anything of what you wrote above or that you do any of it.

But you have to admit, what you wrote has been done and everyone agreed those things were real and people claimed to have seen dragons or have conversations with sun god, actually any god.

Zoney

1. Impossible for another human to walk without a light source in pitch black with cypress knees sticking up all over the place. The roar was far greater and longer than a human would be capable of.

2. Again its possible I was 11-or 12 at the time but even at that age I was familiar with the normal sounds of the woods at night. The Men I was with don't scare easy. Hell the go into burning buildings for a living and for fun. All experienced long time hunters and it had them grabbing guns with the first yell. If it was a animal it was one they never encountered before.

3. I am older now so its possible that my memory has been altered over time. For instance I cant remember the exact words of several of the firefighters now. I do remember the yell quiet clearly and the large animal circling the camp the following evening. Intense moments burn a deeper memory then everyday moments.

Yes I can move through the woods leaving very little trace. A pro tracker would be able to see signs of me but the average hunter wouldn't be able to. We did look for tracks after the incident but with the heavy leaf litter was only able to see a surface disturbance. Which could have been anything.

Well, if you were 11 you did not really have match of a clue.  And I don;t mean that as an insult.  Just because you were 11.  The question now is, had they recognized the sounds wouldn;t they go for the guns anyway?  Sounds more of a case of lets scare the kid than anything else.

No It was obvious they were scared and as a kid it scared me that the grown men around me were genuinely scared. I'm an adult now and have asked my father several times over the years if that was some kind of joke. He replies with no it wasn't and why do you think we left early the way we did? My father is over 60 now and quite frankly has no reason to lie to me about a childish prank at this point. Firefighters are well known for pulling jokes but when there are weapons involved its never a good idea and wouldn't have been a option with these guys.
