As from the prior thread in bugs, there was no change in attempting what you had suggested.
I am looking in the "problem reports" section and I have 20 crashes starting on 8/8. I had no issue until this update. I played Monday night with no issue, then left for business not returning until Thursday afternoon. I logged in, where it prompted me for the update. After installing the update, all game play has ceased. It will open fine however, when getting into the tower it crashes. The time of until this crash is a roughly 3-6 seconds, I can note everything will load except for the "runway" box will will only load about 1/8 of the grayish button area (the rest will be white) before the entire game crashes out and i get the "stopped responding" warning.

Offline has no issue at all.
I did load a new copy onto my laptop (Win 7 vs the machine that is crashing which is Vista) and was able to get into the arenas on the laptop without issue. However, that is not a solution
I'm not a IT or Computer guy by any stretch of the imagination but, this is very similar to the issues that I had when that other update came out a few years ago where a good deal of machines had problems.
The desktop I use to play is a 2.50 ghz AMD 7550 dual core processor with 3GB of Ram and at 32 bit O/S. The Video Card is a NVIDA GeForce 8600 GT. Otherwise again, until this patch I had no issues to speak of. I also run no anti-virus or other odd background process. I also attempted to run the game with the Game booster but, there was alos no change in the crash.
Your assistance would be appreciated,
