Loved Elysium, even though I agree it could have been a bit more in depth.
IMO, they don't do enough of that type story line. Too many people want to see antihero, and villans that turn good. Surprise! Elysium went into a civil war 50 years ago, and is as terrible as earth is! What, the little girl dies before she gets to the med chamber?
We see enough of that morally ambiguous and depressing crap in real life, why in God's name would you want to pay to see it?
One thing I'm excited about is that a friend of mine at Universal studios says they've been considering making a film out of Halo: Reach, since they dropped the idea of using Chief (says because they don't want to choose between committing to 6 films, or pissing off viewers)
