Winging with Dodger in 38s Fighting Zacherof
« on: August 19, 2013, 10:22:46 AM »
I thought this film would be good to post here to show how winging can be effective.  <S> to Zacherof.  He had three kills on me already when this fight took place.  It was a great time.

Entertaining...especially the end....hehehe

Not sure this is a good example of "winging"...this is in the HELP forum so please remember that.

Zach made a whole bunch of mistakes...#1 getting wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to slow when he didn't NEED to.

Tom...very nice stall fighting..nice use of flaps..good lead pursuit for guns...but if the Zach had used his muscle you would have been toast.

Dodger...heheheh he came out of nowhere then got out of sync.

On vox I didnt hear any comms about the target...thats important if your winging.

I will say that in this film Tom shows a great example of flaps and throttle to beat a spit.

This was an example of "Winging" ?   Not sure I agree.  Who was supposed to be covering your six?  I saw no effort to communicate, even if this was a fight that was totally pre-planed with minimal radio chatter, I saw no effort to bracket the nme fighter, no attempt to share situational awareness and in the end, you got killed by a bad guy on your six.  Where was your Wingman.  This film just shows two guys on the same side flying in the same area and not necessarily "Winging".
