Why cant shoting your team mate do nothing at all? Why do we have to die or kill him? Can't their be a third choice?

picture you are on a guys 6 d250 from behind 4 friendlies are spraying like mad from d600 and beyond.

Now the closer you are to the nme its easy for him to cause you to miss with slight movements. However the guy guy d600+ just fills the air with spray pray and get the kill from behind you.

Atleast with killshootr he has to watch his fire. Folks still fire from behind like that in the main but ks keeps it down.

With no ks then this would be the norm just like spit dweebs nikis and hos it would be all ya see.

Killshootr off works with smaller numbers and if folks understand that they should not
FIRE FROM BEHIND A FRIENDLY

Also the guy closest to the nme has to know when to break his pursuit to allow his wingman/teammate the clear shot.

Communication is vital in these instances.

I suspect however that we wont be able to rely on the discipline of the guys behind us not to fire or the guys in pursuit to break off when we call "hot" (we have clear shot).

I would very much like ks to be off and its worth a try but ks is better then the team killer or the spray and pray trigger happy crowd.

I would love to see killshooter implemented in the CT. I am gonna be a little frustrated when my teammate shoots me down :).

I prefer it off and I full expect several dogs to shoot me down by accident.

Of course I make em feel guilty for weeks and threaten do drop them from the squad if they do it again.   :D As for the old timers, they just tell me to go lap up some vomit and do it again.

Wotan,How many times do u die from kill shotter? Would u rather lose a kill from some guy behind you or take that death? I would rather loss the kill than take the death, good points though.

Where's Mouse when you need him?!!!  During a mugging, the proper position for the a friendly wingman is high with angles to the target.  Not hurling tracers over somebody's shoulder.

Amen.

Who SHOULD watch for cops during a mugging?!!!

I've been killshootred a bunch but the effect of no ks would a wall of bullets comin over my shoulder.

Nothing in the main happens in a "modest" way. This would happen everytime.

I rather kill myself with killshootr then be the one who shot my team mate down. AG and I have traded our share of ks.

I just dont think "nothing happening" is good fer gameplay or does add any semblence of "realism" or "immersion".

With killshootr off you are forced to trust the guys behind ya. Which in must cases in the ct I would. But theres always one d800 spray and prayer that I know would piss me off big time should he kill me.

Just happened to me in the CT today - killed by a friendly firing over my shoulder in hot pursuit of a bandit.

I would prefer an arena where it could be off, but I don't think enough people in the CT are ready for that level of play yet.

Kill shooter on, Kill Shooter off??? Here's my take.  In real life it's possible to blast a friendly if he happens to be in front of you.  That's a vote for KS off.  I would think and hope that the way to be able to maintain a totally different environment in the CT than the MA is to make it as realistic and difficult as possible.  I say KS off and no tags and allow the CMs to permanently ban anyone who acquires a rep as a friendly shooter.

Well I have to admit that I like it off. Tonight I was flying VVS rides to even up the numbers. AKNimitz was trading paint with a 109 (It happened to be my LJK squadmate Dern but I did not know it.) and he (AKNimitz) broke off to get some distance. I came in on the scene and attempted to shoot Dern down. I was putting bullets all over the area with no effect. After a good little tail chase with Dern I pulled up and left and typed over buffer I was out of fight. The whole time AKNimitz was up and to my right rear holding off. He was waiting on call to get back in and had the angles on any escape the bogey might have pulled.

Plus I think it is distracting as hell to have walls of tracer rounds flying outside of you. Especially if you are not sure it is a friendly or just someone like me who can't hit crap.

If you want artificial restrictions that enhance gameplay, go back to the main arena.

The settings here should be as realistic as possible. I would hope the people that played here would like those settings and abide by them.

Friendly fire is obviously a problem even in this day and age and should be possible here. The community that plays in CT should encourage other players to fight in a way that minimizes friendly fire.

Flying here should be less about individual scores and more about team play.

So, what do we do when the MA is closed (like what typically happens every Friday nite) and all the newbies show up in the CT to fly with all of you 'real men'?  Killshooter may save you from them in the MA, but what do you do now?  I am sure you all would calmly explain to them that killshooter is off in this arena and shooting at green guys is bad...
