West Germany Res

Hey all, <S>

Hey Buzzbait, Funkedup, Hblair and  CT crew.

I was putting in some roads etc in sgrad tonight. Got tired of working on that
so thought I’d work on w.germany.res a while.

I was in a real creative mood during late summer when this was built.

Spent many hours (120) working on this.. covered sub pens at Kiel, Jet bases in
the mountains.. the works.  4 bridges.. Rhine navigable..

Anyway I offered to update it for BigWeek but Nash and Dowding rejected
it out of hand. Because  its 1;1 scale at 256x I could only fit West Germany
and part of Holland. A29 Zwolf and   Arnheim would’ve been the allied bases.
I know heavies didn’t launch in Arnheim, I added an “airstart” at A29 that starts you
out at the northwest section of the map over the North sea at 30k.

No... no.. they wanted a more realistic terrain where the heavies could start in England.
And.... they wanted it at 256x.. which means its not 2:1 scale its more like 4:1 scale. If they
say that’s more realistic then who am I to argue?

No need to be petty. Bruised feelings heal in time. After all they would’ve not been happy with w.germany cloud file it would be hard to script their event. You never know when Berlin
is socked in you have to go to your secondary target.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Nash and Dowding for making me
a Republican.

Anyway if you guys are interested I’m making:

4 rail lines NorthWest, SouthWest, Northeast, Southeast
8 stations per line
1 depot per base
1 connector road per base
15 barge lines on Rhine river.

This shouldn’t take more than a few days then sent to Ronnie. But... I’m releasing this map to
the public now so that if there’s anything you want me to add I can do it in the next few days.

Its my belief that this map comes closest to Luzon in that.. Does it have A10Cuba!?.. I believe it does.

S! 10 Bears

Looks good.  I will wait for your updates before I download it.  Should be a good map for a 'Final Days of the 3rd Reich' type setup.

                Cheers Buzzbait
