This stuff is way over my level of intelligence so this is probably a stupid question but one I've always wondered about. How come a small gaming system like Xbox can create and run such good graphics smoothly but a big hooking computer rig with upgradeable graphic cards, CPUs , memory and everything else....can't without frame rate problems and screen freezes? A game like Call Of Duty is pretty much a simulation game like AcesHigh with different maps and players battling each other in combat, right? The only different I can see is that our "bodies" we do combat in in AH are airplanes or tanks instead of a human body form. :headscratch:

If the only problem to getting to where everyone is happy with the graphics and game play just comes down to the money HTC is willing to fork out for these improvements then I can understand that. I realise a company like Xbox has way deeper pockets and resources than HTC, so I would think that if they did spend tons of cash to upgrade, surely the cost to play this game would double or even triple. No bigger than the AH player base is now, it could possibly cost players 40 or 50 bucks a month to play. I don't think you'd find enough players to pay those rates to justify the upgrades. The company would go broke overnight IMO.

I'm sure the technology and know how to make this game the end all to flight sims is out there, but maybe HTCs question is how much are we willing to pay as customers to have it.

The visual range that Aces High is rendering dwarfs the other games you're talking about.  It is much easier to render short distances and the detail level can be more granular.

Human bodies running on the ground have no flight model to compute. That's an enormous difference.

Multigen has nothing to do with our graphic engine.  Never has.  It is what we use for content creation.  Just because another application looks better when it has 20 times more content, does not mean it is "graphic engine" related.  There is a difference between art and engine.

Your vision has always been flawed, but I can understand why you might not want AH to move forward into AHIII.

 :noid

My vision is perfect when I wear my glasses, which is probably why I noticed your antics over sounds and you ended up with my 1st post here in this thread.

But, please do quantify your accusation about myself not wanting to see AH move forward.

dolby just get him to give HTC that 100 grand so we can move AH forward with a nice new graphics engine.

if your gonna get conned and throw your parents money away do it for a good cause instead of lining full sail crooks pockets.

I don't think 100 grand in monopoly money will go very far.

Wow! You two really take the cake! Neither one of you have an education, right?

Two very good points that never even occurred to me Karnak and Lusche.

Anyway, the way games like this are produced fascinates me...all the mechanics and different software involved in order to make things happen. What an interesting way to make a living

You have already accused me of one thing, which you have failed to answer, and now accused me of another.

Have you given thought to going into politics?

Fullsail: Real World Education (www.fullsail.com) is a private institution located in Winter Park, Florida, a suburb of Orlando. It offers various Associate's Degree and Bachelor's Degree programs in areas of multimedia and production for the entertainment industry. Their's is a powerful and well-oiled marketing machine designed to draw in a constant flow of suckers, err... students, to its school every month.

I have written a detailed article titled "Fullsail: We Take Your Dreams, Seriously."

This school is a ripoff for several reasons, examined in detail in my article. Among them are deceptive marketing practices, lack of entrance requirements, academic illegitimacy, and the list goes on... simply read the article. Fullsail's marketing methodology is shameless, and their teaching methodology weak. They are ruining people's futures by misdirecting them toward unattainable goals, when for example a simple essay or portfolio review would reveal they were better off elsewhere.

Actually Dolbish you don't interest me at all. What you consider as accusations are pretty much facts. You two, both of you, just want to argue. I could care less.

The whole purpose of this thread was to get some additional information from Hitech. It isn't about you two, that's for sure. Now that Skuzzy has been in and visited the thread I know Hitech will at least hear about it. He can either contact me, or not. I will post more as I move forward.

I understand why Fester posted, at least. You (Dolby) pretty much still have a burr under your saddle because I refused to 'give' you the sounds I created. Like the soldiers I have already made, and the aircraft I will be making they are not your property to demand. Even if HTC were to use them in the game (not the sounds, that's decided), which is not a sure thing, they will not be yours. You cannot demand the works of other people. In your case the problem is jealousy. You want something that you cannot make yourself. Fester is trying to reclaim his position as the top contributor to AH content. Well, that ship has sailed. He has lost his edge and it will never be reclaimed. Now he is just another user. Both of you need to slink back to your caves and sleep off your all-nighter.

Uptown, you can always start another thread. Not sure what you want to learn, but there you go.

As to Fester's hate post: When students fail they will hate. Anyone can be a knight of hate these days. There are many, many graduates of Full Sail that have worked on the latest top money makers. Still, it is not my favorite. If I had the freedom to travel I would attend a school in the U.K., because it is actually the best. Here in the U.S. the top school is in CA and supposed to be #1, and yes Full Sail does not even make the top ten. What they do offer, though, is online education. There are other schools that do the same. Every one of the animation schools out there has a site claiming them to be frauds. Nice whine though.

Chalenged, I do not wish for demand or require your sounds, I have merely picked on your behaviour from past threads.

You continue to accuse without backing them up. And for goodness sake, the phrase is; Could not care less.

For example. I could not care less about your sounds, your inability to respond without insulting the rest of us however is another matter.
