If anyone wants to try out FesterMA but doesn't know how, here is how you do it:

Start Aces High and go to the online arenas screen. Click on the "Custom" tab at the top of the clipboard. If my "festerma test" arena is listed click on that and the terrain files should download. If not, click on "Create arena", type a name in the "Arena Name" box, select "festerma" from the terrain drop down box and click "Create", the file should then download.

Love the layout of the map. Going to be a good GV map.

However the water is really messed up in the rivers and along the shore lines. There's even some places that are completely missing tiles and you can see into the underworld!

As I see it, the newly submitted one should is "fester" in that list, not "festerma", which is the old version (with a 10k airfield in center and missing the strats).

renamed it fester01 and uploaded it but it is not showing up yet. maybe skuzzy has some advice to upload latest version without delay?

fester01 isn't on the servers but if you'd been successful uploading it, then it would be available immediately.

If I might make a suggestion, and I'm pretty sure you know what's needed to do this. Instead of uploading it as fester01, pick the current version on the server that you don't want to be the final name, i.e. fester, and after making a backup copy of your sources, upload the new terrain as fester using the fester host files instead of fester01. If there are no problems then you should see the new terrain download to your FE when you open your custom arena.

I'm curious why you didn't stay with festerma for the name? I liked it.

I wouldn't upload it as fester01 as that might require Skuzzy to delete it before he could start building it with his tools. I think it would have been worth it for festerma hehe

Shouldn't be hard to find.  It's the only AH terrain where the creator felt the need to name it after himself.

I know there will be some backlash for that for that comment.  That's fine, but as the creator of several terrains, I find naming one after yourself a bit prima donna-ish.  Some people make content for the game to make it better & some do it for the kudos.

It's called "fester".

When I created a new custom arena there was a FesterMA and a fester. Fester has the name FesterMA in it's upper right corner. The map looks like a tank commander and fighter pilots furballing dream. Put it up with no password if anyone wants to look. Think I named it Festers New Map.

fester is an older version.

the terrain uploader has never allowed me to update a map and I had to rename festerma fester the first time i started updating it a long time ago.

as for any response from HTC?
