As a general answer.  Aces High supports any video resolution your video card will support.  That is our dependency, the video card.

Thanks Ammo, and yes, I've read that about the HDMI connections, but I'm using other methods already, and in fact, most of the Korean IPS panels only come with the DVI port, just one, and that's it.

I found a highly rated Korean panel from Ebay that I saw in person yesterday, I can get it for 285$ delivered after tax duty and shipping.  It looks almost identical next to an Asus unit the shop had, this way I can get 3 of them and keep my 3 screen set up for the same $ as one single Viewsonic, it's just going to be a lot bigger and heavier now.  I've got the fastest video cards you can get right now, so I hope they'll be enough to drive 3 IPS screens that are so big.

I'll see how I like just the single Korean import before I get rid of my other 24" screens first though.

That is going to be a sweet setup Gman. I have a buddy that bought a Korean IPS (forget the brand) an he is happy.  His did come with one dead pixel but it is in the top left corner and therefore not a limiting factor for him.  He paid similar to the price you mentioned.

For the record, my video card is an issue for me now.  With the 24" 1080 monitor I got good FRs (60-75), but with this IPS running 1440, I can dip pretty low near the deck or in a busy furball.  I need to upgrade :rock

What card do you run now Ammo?  It's a shame you didn't mention this before, I just sold 2 of my 1 year old eVGA 680gtx 4gb's for really cheap, both for 400$ to a friend, which is less than 1/2 what I paid, and still 1/2 of what they now cost, and I could have let you have one of them for 175$.  The performance difference between them and my new 780GTX is negligible in AH, and not a whole lot better in most other games to boot.

I'm still a little concerned about driving 3 screens even with monster vid cards, as IPS 1440 is going to take a LOT more horsepower than 1080p my current ones are running.  Even now with a lot of action in game I can see drops with everything maxed and reflections on about 60 percent or so, but most of the time I'm at 144 fps.  So long as I can stay close to 60 which will be my new max with the refresh rate locked on the IPS panel, I'll be happy enough.

Thanks for that tidbit Skuzzy, that answers a few of my questions I've had about this over the life of the game.  I wonder what the future will bring with the newer cards at the crazy resolutions coming to TV and LC monitors.

Rich, that's a really good deal, about 100$ or more off what I've seen for that panel, as it was on my short list.

I'm running an AMD 6950 2 GB card.  It definitely isn't enough.

I also have a 6950, and it does just fine.  The trick is to flash it to be a 6970.  It's identical hardware, just the 6950 has some shaders disabled for marketing purposes.

Ya, I don't think he's using 57xx by 1080p, but I know Semp is using a similar card on 3 screens if I'm not mistaken.  You can just get away with a 6970 with 3 screen, but not by much IMO.  Even SLI'd 680's and 780's will see drops in busy times in some of the newer games, and some, like lame TCA's lie, and don't even use SLI at all, which they got busted for recently, claiming SLI in all their early media for Rome 2, but when people checked, one card is pretty much idle all the time.

I know Skuzzy's made comments about the SLI profile for AH2, and I agree with them from my own observations - I would recommend anyone to buy ONE really fast card over 2 slower ones in SLI for Aces High, the Titan, a 780GTX overclocked to near Titan performance, or 7990.  I've tried all the above in my 3930k system, as well as 680GTX 4gb sli'd, and that's just my observations and opinion based on what I've seen FPS wise.  I think a single 780GTX is the best bang for the buck to come around for a while, since it's so easy to push it up to Titan levels for about 3 or 400$ less in cost.  I'm happy with mine, that's for sure.

I found the same Asus screen locally that Rich mentioned, and for around the same price, 560$, and I'm now torn between that or the Korean one for 320$ delivered.  I'm just worried about dead pixel and blackout issues and have no return possible, since they rarely if ever issue RMA's to send it back overseas apparently....I think the extra 230$ is probably worth it, plus I"ve had really good luck with all Asus products, especially LCD's recently, my last 4 have been Asus, and not a single dead pixel or any problems at all.

Cheapest I can find the 780GTX is $649.  Is that about as low as it is right now?

Doing fine at 2560x1600 with all eyecandy turned on.  When I turn off the framerate limiter I get FRS up in the hundreds.  I'll very rarely get an ingame stutter when I get low in a dogfight, FPS drops to <20 for a second, but this seems unrelated to the card, I think it has more to do with system load.  My system definitely needs a reinstall.

tried higher resolution, then I decided for a Benq 27" VA screen.

The new generation of VA screens are good for gaming, can be looked at from different angles without TN type distorsion, and good colors and very good luminance, and with  good price-tag.

Con's  : is limited to 1920*1080 and maxed to 60frames with vsync on.  I can live with both these, I did notice some difference with  2560, but again then I need a rocket-graphics card at a high price.

I have 2 evga 465 cards using 3 screens.  I play with all sliders on and shadows at 4096 and get full frames.  they only thing is that i got into tt last night and with the new clouds my fps went into the 20's.  everywhere else it was full frames, I never had that happen before.  I think most likely that it's time to clean my puter again.

proof is that you can run any bezel compensation with AH, I personalty run 5904*1200...I bet AH looks very large and immersive  on those 21/9 screen, without the problems of having 3 screens on the desk

the only thing I dont have is environmental map, still dont know what it does but it really sucks a lot of fps out of my computer.  I get about 30+ with full updates.
