Would a better strategy on the part of the victim been to have laid on the horn and slowly accelerated to say 20 or 30 and then weave as necessary and don't exit unless you know where your going?

The latest I saw http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/02/nyregion/motorcyclist-struck-by-suv-is-arrested-and-charged-with-reckless-behavior.html

Makes it sound like the brake checker got off un scathed while the guy who was checking on his welfare got messed up. Kinda like the drunk driver that kills a school us load of kids and then staggers away unhurt.

The problem with these guys is that they are living in some kind of fantasy drama world where it makes sense to take over the west side highway to get some clear asphalt. It's like they think they are in a movie but the don't realize we don't have the script. So when things inevitably don't go the way they want they get outraged at the injustice of it while we are left wondering what is wrong with these a...les.

They are basically acting like big dangerous children

sorry but plenty of "Bikers" would do this...and have done this exact same thing.

8 or so HA pulled a guy out of his car and beat him in front of his 8 year old daughter....

I personally know a guy who was shot 3 times by the HAs.....he was on the cover of the Boston Globe..."Death ducking Devils disciple escapes death for a third time" or right around those words...at the same time he was shot the third time (in the back mind you)....there was a huge chase and they ran over the guy that was with him and killed him...on Massachusetts streets.....

most Bikers (especially patch wearing bikers) are no different then the government..think they can do whatever they want, everyone has to listen to them and have Zero respect for life....

Well... you are talking about a 1911.  I'm sure you had a stoppage at some point, cleared it, dropped the old mag, and had to insert a new one.   :D
No, I sold the Kimber and bought a Wilson. :D

Let's not talk about Wilson 1911's while I have money to spend.  I gotta get off this laptop.   :(

Back to the topic... Cool bikers (or motorcyclists) rock.  Dudes like these deserve to be run over.

back when I used to ride, some of the guys I associated with and rode with on occasion were the real deal bikers.  One of then carried a ball peen hammer that had a 3' handle welded on the head, he used that from what I was told to smash windows at a safe distance, another carried a 5' length of chain for the same purpose.  Now before I get lumped into the same category I DIDNT carry anything on my bike, I rode with respect to all drivers and vehicles.  My way of thinking is that a car is 5 times the size of me, all they have to do is throw a door open and its all over :lol  But them guys were crazy.  I rode with them just because their bikes were nice and I learned a lot about wrenching from them.

Valid point.  1% Bikers are a different breed.. some are the nicest folks you could meet, others.. well lets just say they fall on the other side of that coin..

I suppose my real point is all these people up in arms about riders in general, and even other riders about those of us who choose to ride sport bikes....they need to realize, as with any group of people, there are good, and bad, and should not lump as all in the same boat.  *I* ride sport bikes.  Both Pasta burning and Rice burning.  However, I am far from a hooligan on the streets, and respect the road, drivers, and other riders alike.  I save my high speed aggressive riding for the track, as do most of the folks I ride with.  All I ask is don't assume just because someone rides a particular type of bike, OR rides at all, makes them lumped in with the degenerates who instigated this situation...

the name of the guy with the ball peen hammer wouldn't be..."Doug" now would it?

I grew up with real bikers, outlaw bikers. Specifically the outlaws and Black widows in Florida. You run into supporters mostly, people who want to be associated, that are the biggest assclowns you will ever meet. "Oh I know this guy blah blah". I know the chapter president and treasurer, hell they even talked me into buying an old 1978 harley fatboy to fix up. Problem is however, I was college educated and when I seen 5 bikers die in my area (accidents mostly) I gave up the project and sold it off.
Here the real bikers get associates and supporters to do the work, young guns who have something to prove because they are dumb enough to do it because they want to be associated. The old school outlaws are all in prison, most have life sentences.
What this video shows (and its not the first time trust me, I know the new york group, it pops up on motorcycle pages now and then) they have done this bullying tactic 2-3 times. Young punks just trying to feel invisible and bullying.

/I never associated, but fact is I never felt safer then in a biker bar - long as you say yes sir and no sir they never bother you. Call someone an "old timer" or "grandpa" you are liable to have your bellybutton beat when you goto the bathroom.
//Not a supporter either, its just heavily influenced in my area because Gangs took over the area long ago, and then the Bikers moved in to clear them out the 4 bars on my road are all outlaw motorcycle bars, with a supporter club house somewhere in the area as well
