Dont buy from New Egg. I keep warning people against them. If you bought from B&H video you'd probably have your new one back by now. Not only that but if the card's price dropped within 30 days of purchase they would refund to you the difference in price from what you paid. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

New Egg stinks. Oh they are fine for prices but if you ever have to return anything or deal with customer service they are terrible.

i've been dealing with newegg since 2001, never had a problem with customer service or rma's. then again, i've only had 1 doa part and 1 warranty exchange. b&h photo is great for low end purchases but, aside from shipping costs if you want your item in less than a week, they don't cross ship either. at least they wouldn't when i got the doa steering wheel setup and it was a $150 item.

that's what concerns me.

that the VC needs sooo much Amps just to boot.

i mean, it shood have a base line like it does with the vid drivers. cuz the new drivers arnt
installed until after the card is installed and even then the card still puts out a picture.

i think there is an "absolute minimum baseline" power requirement but, i have never seen one published. i've seen similar behavior with cell phone chargers, not enough power output on the charger and the battery won't charge.

I've gotten a couple of EVGA video cards in the past that were dead on arrival.  Newegg replaced the first, then on the second just credited me, and I bought a different vendor's card.  The card might have been great, but the packaging was really bad and resulted in broken cards by the time it arrived.
