I just got my MSI GTX770 in the mail

Fellas, what do I need to do to uninstall my Radeon card prior to installing the new Nvidea card?  Is there an order to this process?  Am I overthinking this and should just crack open case and take out the Radeon and plug-in the Nvidea?

You need to remove all the graphics drivers for the radeon/amd card before you install the new nvidea drivers i believe. not sure how to go about that, as I have only ever used one or the other in a given system. some other guys can possibly offer direction on that process. Or look it up on line.That's what I would do.

before you remove the old radeon, uninstall the catalyst suite, then run driver sweeper. shut down, remove the old card, pop in the new card, then do what you gotta do.

As mentioned, uninstall the AMD drivers, install new card, install new drivers. If you have a folder; C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_<insert version umber> (ex; AMD_Catalyst_13.11_BetaV9.2) you can go in there and run 'setup' to uninstall all AMD related software/drivers.
If you're on Windows 7 then it's not required to uninstall drivers and you could just pop in the new card and install Nvidia Drivers, but it could potentially cause issues later. I personally run both Nvidia and AMD drivers at the same time with 0 issues.

I got my GTX780 last week. They are great cards, enjoy.

Immediate improvement in FR and detail.  I can see cons outside of icon range much better and farther.  I have all the ah graphics maxed and get great FR.  Although, no matter the situation, it seems 60 FPS is the max I will get but it stays at 60 all the time (no problem with that).  Still haven't tried clouds out yet.

More than possible that your monitor cannot draw more than 60 frames in one second, no matter how fast your card is. To test your frame rates, disable the vertycal sync - this might cause graphical anomalies.

Monitor may only be 60hz capable, Thus meaning it can only display 60 frames per second as that is as fast as it can render, If you want higher frames, Would need a monitor with say 75/120hz.

You don't need a new monitor. 60hz is more than enough for AH. Competitive FPS players may want a faster model with 144hz but even there the benefit is marginal. Input lag is a bigger issue than refresh rates.
