Comet ISON

Might be an awesome show on the 28th (If you're not up early AM now to see).

Might be nothing but a fizzle.

Been following this for a while. Comets are cool. You won't be able to see it on the 28th as that's the day it passes behind the sun. Right now they say it's difficult to see as its not all that bright and low on the brightening sky at sunrise.  If it survives the trip around the sun it should be awesome to see after sunset from the first week of December. It'll be above the horizon all night after then and will be visible until it fades away on its trip into oblivion.

My bet is that it's pulled apart by the sun. Look what Jupiter did to that other one.

Actually the sun did that. That one was Schumaker-Levy 9 and what was left of it after the sun pulled it apart hit Jupiter.

ISON took an ack hit from the Sun and is last seen limping away, trailing oil and fuel.  Probably missing some control surfaces as well.

I was hoping it would make it through and give us a spectacular view.
