Knits... what can you say?!?!...when they finally turn up in the same area at the same time they will offer a little bit of variety...this shows in how they lose total advantage many many times...if they are lucky either somebody actually gets a little order within the ranks and they get a base( I think that this is due more to the confusion of the opposing side,  the wonderment of oh look they have some order messes with the mindset they have got set into, and by the time they snap out of it knits have snuck in a troop carrier ...
or they will accidentally get troops to the map room and call around to find out who got them in...
That we may publicly shame the perpetrator for being a real estate nerd.

A great warrior once said. "Bish are Romans. Rooks are Mongols. Knights are Vikings, they don't come for your land. If you keep running to ack though we will de ack the field. And then if you roll flack panzers we'll burn the VH. If the mood strikes us well burn the whole field, if it gets captured that's just incidental. Bombing knight land is probably relatively safe. Who cares about bombers, bombers can't fight. To a knight fighting isn't an endeavor to be rewarded victory because to a knight fighting is the reward."

OR you could call everyone over when you spot a horde coming to defend against it. way back when, jg54 would hit undefended bases just to start a fight. these guys do the same thing. you see em coming. call it out on channel and surprise them. its loads of fun for both sides!! there is nothing like trying to defend a base against innumerable odds!!

and if its a points thing with you, then you probably shouldnt be playing anyway..

Yes, "way back when..." I remember those days. Too bad they are not like today.  :( Now you call out an attack coming in and you get the same few players to help out. For most it isn't a "score thing" it's a "I'm tired of fighting 5 against 1 all the time" thing. If your not in the top 5% of the cartoon fighter pilots than you have very little chance of standing up against the horde. How much fun can you have dieing all the time with out having much of a chance at winning?

I don't think the hordes would such a problem if you could get the numbers down to maybe 2 vs 1. Attackers would still have numbers, but defenders would have the base to reup and get back into the fight. Of course that would bring in more strategy and they would have to cover the goon, and plan for stuff like that.  :huh

Don't forget the bish and rook furball backup hoards at 25k and 30k waiting to come in and save the first wave furball hoard at 20k if they can't kill the 1 guy against 20 in 30 seconds. That usually means he's a 5%er and has to be crushed, or one of the 20 guys in the first furball hoard won't make it home alive.

Knights are lazy, they have no interest in climbing to 20k for a furball. Asking them to form up for a 20k fighter sweep gets you called worse things than they call the "alt sissy" bish and rook furball hoards. Ever notice you save your nastiest observations for those closest to you......

Lately the bish and rooks have been trying to use that against the knights as ACM BS'd with the title strategy. They still have to come down and fight some day before their fuel runs out. And then as usual, the "Vikings" quickly send them home to bring more planes to be shot down. It's just getting boring these days with the small window called prime time waiting for the bish and rooks to waste 2\3 of it climbing to 20k, and then milling around up there before they come down and fight. And it turns out the new ACM altitude strategy is really HO everyone you can as you are diving at 500 for the deck. Pull up, rinse and repeat. Then run away and get separation while looking to join up with the next 20k hoard of cavalry coming in to save everyone from the evil lazy knights milling around on the deck.

There are 5%er exceptions in both the bish and rook countries. The problem is, that's such a statisticaly small number of players in any engagement. So the vast majority are doing the 500mph spit in your face dive for life from 20k now days.

I feel for the guys in Yaks who climb to 20k and limit their play time to a few minutes before they run out of fuel. If 20k is the new norm. It would be nice if Hitech changed the fuel burn back to 1.5. It would give me more time  dodging the 25k and 30k furball backup rescue hoards when I'm up there by myself at 20k in a spit14 hunting for them. My theory is they will think I'm a 5%er and avoid me for fear of being shot down, and I won't have to show them how really lame I am. Since only 5%er's challenge hoards alone in this game and come away in one piece.

Bustr could not agree more. Great furball on Saturday with one squad on the rook side zipping through the furball in lw high e rides hoing everything they could. It really got under my skin. I am getting pretty fed up with the its my 15 bucks attitude guys have. I pay 15 bucks to fight. Some guys pay 15 bucks to ruin another guys day. I wish there were a way to hinder those guys that go out of their way to be tools.
