No, in that, extremely unlikely, event our in division record would be better than yours and point differential wouldn't come into it.  We'd have beaten the Rams and Cardinals twice and you guys once while you'd have beaten the 49ers, Rams and Cardinals only once each.

What I actually think is going to happen is that the 49ers will secure a wildcard spot on Monday against the Falcons and then the Seahawks will secure the #1 seed next week when they beat the Rams.  Not sure if San Francisco will beat Arizona or not, but it doesn't matter if they beat the Falcons and Seattle beats the Rams.

As a Rams fan, all have to say to the Seahawks is bring it.  The best defensive line in the league and they are hungry.  Seahawks squeaked by the Rams in the first meeting.  Rams are a team that is on the rise as the youngest team in the league and will only get better with the projected #2 pick and a mid 1st round pick wherever they finish the season.

Rams have a chance to play spoiler.

If Seattle loses to St. Louis and San Francisco beats Arizona AT Arizona, the 49ers would win the NFC West (based on a division record tie-breaker) and Carolina would get the NFC's top-seed with a win against the Falcons (thanks to a head-to-head tie-breaker with the 49ers). The only way San Francisco earns the top-seed in the NFC is by winning their next two games, while Seattle loses to St. Louis and Carolina falls to Atlanta.

I don't expect the Rams to upset the Seahawks though.  It is remotely possible, but highly unlikely for the 49ers to win the NFC West.  Even less likely to win the #1 seed.  I'd like it, but I stand by my prior actual prediction that the 49ers would clinch by winning against the Falcons (which they just did, though it was closer than I expected) and the Seahawks will clinch the #1 seed by beating the Rams.  I expect the Panthers to beat the Falcons as well.  I am not sure who will win in Arizona, the Cardinals are playing very well and I think they will likely beat the 49ers, but miss the playoffs despite having an 11 and 5 record.
