A20 bomb Release?

On the A20, is there a way to drop your wing mounted bombs first without opening the bomb bay doors?

Not a big deal.  Just wondering.

This, but the problem is there isn't anyway you can tell till you drop the first bomb unless you are careful.  You start the sortie with belly bombs selected.  Tap backspace once to select wing.  Tap it again, and you are back to belly.  Do it too much and you may lose track

Yes, it is a familiar problem, but only very few planes suffer it. On the mosquito you at least cycle through the cannons so you know where you are in the rotation. What I recommend is to always open the bay doors, even if you intend to release from the wings. It prevents frustration and has the added benefit of the doors acting as speed breaks in the dive. Not a huge effect, but both the Mossie and the A20 can easily overspeed, so every bit helps.

What I do as I am taxing out to the runway is to switch to the wing mounted bombs so they are the first to drop, default control is the backspace to select secondary weapons, I also set my salvo at this time.    It doesn't take much to keep tract of which set of bombs you have selected.

Traveler I just tried that offline.  It worked.
Opened the doors.
Select wing bombs.
close doors and wing bombs  can now be dropped without having doors open.

You can select the wing bombs without opening the doors first.  I do it all the time in the A20.  As soon as I hit the runway I hit the switch on my joystick that selects the other mount point.

I did try that and it worked.  Probably what Traveler and the rest were saying and I missed it. Thanks Auger.

You don't have to open the bomb bay doors to switch between Primary and secondary.
