B25J
« on: January 04, 2014, 04:36:30 PM »
I hate the C because its practically defenseless unless you have a bunch at staggered alts or in a mixed formation. the H has no bomb sight or formation. B25 is a favorite a/c of a lot of players but we lack tail and ball turrets. Ive posted this same thing for years now and so have others the 25J is just as wanted as the He111 was but we didn't get it BOOOOOO.

There are many aircrafts I think that deserve to be in Aces, this is one is no brainer.

It's simply beautiful.

You don't have to wait until late night... take off from a field one behind the front lines, walk away to make a sandwich, come back and you're at 20k ft. If you get in trouble, put 'er in more-than-shallow long-range dive. You can get up to speeds high enough that it's not feasible for most planes to attack in a good pattern, and they'll have to expose themselves to your top turret to attack.

Any aircraft can be flown in the midst of a "crowded" map.  Mission type, time of flight, and the skill and experience of the escort fighters mean everything though.   :aok

Not every aircraft can be/will be/should be a stand alone aircraft.  The B25C is one of them.  As is the Boston, He111, B5N, SBD, G4M, etc, etc.  You get the picture.

One of my favorite runs is taking a Boston to "prime alt" (prime alt is a squad term of "best alt for speed"), do a bomb run over a "live" enemy airfield, and having an escort or two chase away the proverbial ankle biters that try and climb up and intercept.   :aok

Make sure you include the 12-gun strafer variant!
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

-1   nice wish, but we have a bunch of b-25's already and many other planes needed to fill planesets before this should be added.

Would be nice if the B-25 was finally given the option of carrying HVARs with the J model.
