Mustang Radiator Question

The default skin shows what looks like a second radiator above the scoop.  I haven't been up close to a Mustang in a few years but I seem to recall a triangle shaped fairing there, not another set of plumbing.

Thoughts?

There is both the radiator and an oil cooler in that area.

There is both the radiator and an oil cooler in that area.

Is the oil cooler on top of the scoop and not inside it?  Is that what I am seeing?  Seems way too big in the game model compared to RL.   Maybe I missed something somewhere.   ????

This is a model and may be slightly inaccurate....   The default game skin does not look like this.   Some of the other custom skins don't either (I haven't reviewed them all).

The game (at least the default skin, any way) shows the oil cooler OUTSIDE (above) the scoop where the fairing should be....

Well to be honest sir there is the limiting of the graphic sheet. Not enough pixels for that area your not going to get the same. Your would need a lot high res skin for that. For instance in DCS P-51 you get a about ten 2048x2048 pixel sheets and the aircaft parts are split up over the sheet. The P-51 in AH is on 1 sheet at 1024x1024. Now you see the limitations of the graphics in Aces High skins.

The best bet is to find the corresponding area on the bitmap, and paint it like the other sections of fuselage.
