Why should we exclude them?  Maybe they DO know what's wrong with the game i.e. why they left?  Or maybe they would see changes and come back to the game....always a good thing for a game with dwindling numbers, eh?

I still don't see how having a forum section for paying members only would be considered a perk or how it would be beneficial.  It would contain the same type threads that are already seen in every section on this board.

The perk would be a room in the BBS for paying members only, with no  ideas or offerings from people that haven't paid.  Where people with vested interested in the success of the game could exchange ideas on how to improve the game.   Any one with a valid account would be welcome, even if they chose not to fly and just maintain their account.

I don't think my opinions are any more valid than many of the players who no longer have an account.  I can't see the use of segregating the community like that.  It seems to have downsides and no upsides.

You could always ask Skuzzy to let you start a private forum. You could make sure that only paying players are allowed in.
You'd even be the moderator.

I still think my approach is better.  Enable a filter that allows forum community to ignore (squelch) posts from certain community members.  One could possibly add a filter to this proposed ignore list that could include a "non subscribed" option.  Starting a private forum, would do the same for Traveler, but why shut the door on folks that may have more pertinent information to offer to others?

Your argument applies to all the private forums. 

That information would mostly still be on the public forums. Like it is now.

Folks with pertinent information and all the other could still use all the other forum rooms.   Just not the one for paying members only.  All the forum rooms remain the same.   just asking that one new room be added for paying members only.

this members only room would hurt the game in the long run---people who are thinking about joining this game aka the 2 weekers--come to this forum for information--just because they don't post here doesen't mean they are not reading it......so no,we don't need a private bbs room...you are over ruled by your fellow players.

one room on the BBS that is reserved for paying members.  Keep all the other rooms public but please have one room that is for members only.

we already have one of these, but you gotta know the secret hand shake to get in.
