NHL Playoffs
« on: April 17, 2014, 11:54:33 PM »
There has been some really good and exciting hockey so far, especially being from St. Louis and seeing the triple OT game vs. Chicago tonight. I'm also a Red Wings fan so looking forward to a good series versus the Bruins. Hope the rest of the playoffs are as good as the first couple days have been.

This reminds me, I need to poke fun at my sister for how the Blues were knocked out of the playoffs by the Red Wings every year during the late-90s/early-2000s. Even when Detroit isn't in, it's hilarious seeing her react to me telling her the Blues will STILL get knocked out by the Red Wings! :D

(Don't get me wrong, as a St. Louis native I want to see the Blues win by default, it's just fun teasing her over it).
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Go Bruins!!!(My moms from holyoke mass, and I am a die hard red sox, bruin, patriot, and celtic fan!)
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Datsyuk is my favorite player in the league so I've become a Red Wings fan. It makes it easier to like both teams now that the Wings are in the East. However, when they do play each other I enjoy wearing my Red Wings jersey just to get under people's skin.  :)

Lol, I see.

Well I'm a Redskins fan so I get under a lot of ppl's skin these days apparently...

All of the teams I follow, Skins, Penguins, Pirates I followed long before Phx had those other markets. Growing up here all we had for a very long time were the Suns. Mario, Stevens, Jagr, those guys got me hooked.

Used to have USFL Wranglers and SFGiant's aaa team, lol. ASU football always a big deal back then.

Anyhow, GO PENGUINS!

Stars got manhandled by the Ducks.  Not pretty.  Not a good way to start the series either.

They fought their way back into it, but just ran out of time. The same with the Kings last night, down 5-0 but then came back to make it a game at 5-3. Ducks are going to be very hard to beat in general, and a lot of people have picked them to win it all.

Yes, but two of those scores came from penalties on the Ducks.  That is what it will take to beat the Ducks.  A couple of extra skaters on the ice. :)

Ducks are going to be tough, for sure.  Sure would like to see a Cinderella win for the Stars though.
