CH pedal issue
« on: April 26, 2014, 04:18:47 PM »
In the map controller section, AH recognizes my pedals.  They are working just fine according to the controller inputs and are mapped as mode 1.  However, there are no rudders in flight.  I have been having this issue for awhile now.  I was able to unplug the USB, plug it back in and they would work.  Now that trick is no longer working and I have no clue.

Whats going on here?

Why does AH recognize the pedal inputs but not transfer to in-flight?  My toe brakes work, it's just the rudder.

someone please hep me hep me hep me

Thanks

Did you try calibrating them in Aces High?

Also try moving the rudders to another USB port, unless they are connected to an externally powered USB hub.

What commands are shown being assigned to the rudders in the map controllers?

If you run some type of anti-xxxx software, it could corrupt a settings file.  Easy way to check this.  Rename the "settings" folder, the go offline in the game and set the rudders up in "Map Controllers".  if it works, then the problem is a setting file being corrupted.

Ok, did that.  Same deal.  Working in the map controllers section but not in flight offline with settings renamed.

Map a pedal to rudder control and the rudder to a wheel brake just to try to isolate the problem.

What kind of pedals?
Did they ever work properly without having to replug them?

What commands did you map to the rudder axis?

Having to replug the device usually means the USB bus is resetting a lot.  Are the pedals connected to an externally powered hub?

If it was the bus resetting it should affect the toe brakes too.

When this has happened in the past we have remapped every function of the pedal to something else unrelated, and then back again to the proper function.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

OK I might have figured it out.

As I had to reinstall everything on a reboot of my system and start over.  I did not start configuring my stick from the default action. I think that that was the issue with the pedals.  They are working.  I am having to calibrate the stick 5-6 times as there is drift from the fighterstick, which also confuses me, but it is what it is.

Appreciate the attention from you skuzzy.

Still kinda mad about the ch stuff drifting, but whatever

I tried to save my settings file, but was not able to incorporate the old settings into the new download.  I started assigning buttons to everything from the get go.  I should have set the default for all the sticks, then start assigning.  When I did set the default, I had to re-assign everything anyway

Hope this info helps someone

Thanks guys <S>

Make sure your trim wheels on the stick base can't move. Wedge them in place or tape them down.

one other thing you could try is to reove you "settings" rename it settings2 on desktop and try that.

OK back to the same issue.  Pedals working in the "map controllers" section, but not in flight.  I am getting really fed up with these stick issues as I paid so much dang money for the set.

Need a CH guy to help me out.

Do they still have that 'flying - driving' mode switch on them? Maybe that is acting up.
