Newbe
« on: May 05, 2014, 10:51:49 AM »
Hi folks.  New to game, but not to flying. I am sure that I will have some question (mostly setup and joystick mapping related, for now).  My call sign is Raven3 and I will be hanging out mostly in the training area until I get comfortable with the game.

You can use perks to buy a ride in the best turnfighter in the game; the 262. However, if you ever need to punch out, just use the Alt F4.

Also, the Easter Bunny is dead.

Kidding, of course... except for about the easter bunny. As for the game, you'll love it.

Favorite game-y move, just learned it on BnZ's (unintentional) council: the Porpoise. When the, uh, "emmaknee" is on your six, just oscillate from positive to negative vertical g quickly. It is by no means an IRL maneuver but, judging by how it worked this w/e, it IS a good evasive.

Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.

Ah, I may be able to get on early during the day from time to time.  I'm usually on kid duty.  Which time zone?  Maybe we can meet up this week.

Also, if you're interested PM me and I'll get you some info on the Squad I fly with.  It's primarily current and ex military guys.

Welcome. This game is a lot like golf. It takes some time and effort to get proficient. Once you do, it becomes addictive. Best advise, try to maintain a thick skin and seek advise from a good mentor. If you see me online, I'll help you as much as I can.
