This year, the
2014 Dayton Gathering is scheduled for July 18th, 19th & 20th. It had been planned for the weekend of the Dayton Air Show on June 27th, 28th & 29th however, there were many conflicts in various individuals schedules. As in previous years, we will be setting up at the campground located at
1995 Ross Rd. Tipp City, OH 45371 It's called Great Miami Adventures. This is NOT a KOA Campground or Public Facility. This is Private Land. It sits right on the Great Miami River (Yes, he has Canoe's, Rafts ect. available). He has plenty of room for several RV's and 4-5 50Amp services for those. Tents can go just about anywhere you want to set up. Indoor Shower and Bathroom for those who just can't use a PortaPotty Excuse me?!?! Multiple Fire Rings along the River, please avoid the fires if you eat my chili
. We'll have a Giant 150 Foot Water SlipNSlide setup for entertainment
, Swings into the River (he got a big hole dug out under it) & fishing if you like (Bring your Pole). I recommend Life Jackets if your playing in the water. (Some will be available) Plenty of Tables and Chairs under Pole Tents (Bring your own Chairs if you want comfy) Of Course, there are plenty of Hotel/Motels close by for those not into Camping. Camping will be 10 dollars a head per night (Price may vary as this was the previous price a couple of years ago). Saturday Party goers only will be asked to contribute to the Campground ($10 a head is typical)(Many bring Food, Beer, prizes, ect.) Entertainment for Saturday night this year is up in the air. It may consist of me setting up movies or doing a sort of D.J. thing again. This is basically an all weekend party with Wright-Patterson Air Museum close by. Last year most of us got together and took a ride on a Steerman Bi-plane. There are some gun ranges close by as well if you plan on popping off a few rounds as I plan to do. Main Party is Saturday Night.
Hope all the past attendees will be coming back, you all really make it a true party (You know who you are)
