Wishlist for aircraft? How about the P-61 Black Widow?

P-61A or B, doesn't matter; the aircraft is a real part of the Second World War and as such, should have a place in AH2.  I did a quick search and the last time this aircraft was mentioned was about ten years ago.  I thought I'd rekindle the spark....

More like 10 days ago.  The P-61 is frequently brought up on the BBS as an addition to AH.  I agree that it should be added eventually but there are more pressing needs.

No, P-61 would likely need to be perked.  It is nothing like the Me410.  6400lbs of bombs, four Hispano Mk IIs and four Browning .50s, while being a very agile aircraft.  Only shortcoming is its slow speed (think about like an N1K2-J in terms of speed), so very potent in AH terms.

The 410 is a blast to go buff hunting with or if you want to de-ack a base all by yourself with the 50 mil. It has it's role, and it's fun to take up once in a while for a change of pace.

i agree with floob on this--me410 is a hanger queen now--i believe i had said  it is a piece of junk-which may be a little harsh---i think it's only real use is high altitude bomber intercept-and it should stay that.

and its only good at porking if it can keep its speed up..it has alot of area for aa round to hit.

p-61 blackwidow is a radar equipped night fighter...it did not do well in the pacific theater--largly due to not being able to find many targets..and since we don't have any night maps except occansanol<--mis spelled)ava or seaII arena's it could and would be picked of of the sky--it has the guns--but it is not very fast--according ot the enclyopiedia<--mis spelled also)--even though it's development started early it was primarley used in late 1944 through the end of 1945--but is was used in i think 4 different theater of operations.

so i don't know if it would work here in this game--it might end up a hanger queen--like the me410------and the he111's are close to becoming hanger queens themselves------ the 2 plane sets that were requested the most ended up hanger queens.----i love the tu22's they are easy to shoot down

Me and a wingman deacked a field entirely in less than 90 seconds with a pair of 410s yesterday and were able to vulch a bit. Great fun

410 is an MA hangar queen but is a tres kewl add for scenario play and adds huge dimension to any grosse schlag scenario.
