Personally, after being in an actual plane today, which I rarely get to do, that second picture to me looks great and actually very realistic. Glad to see it Hitech!

you are wrong.  he isnt running at 10 fps.  he's running at 60 fps but he's got vsync disabled.  but with the really really slow video card that he's testing with will make a different with ours.  he's got a 9800gtx, most players have a faster vc.  but he only got that one just to see how it works on slower video cards.

HiTech's development computer has an NVidia GTX 660 w/2GB of video RAM.  A Core 2 E8400 CPU and 4GB of system memory.

Our baseline video card is the 9800GTX, which Waffle has in his computer.

Things are shaping up nicely, HTC.  Please keep the pictures coming.

My computer has an ATI 4850 w/1GB of video RAM in it.  And we have a test system with another ATI card (7750 w/3GB of video RAM) in it.

With a still picture of the river, a question came to mind.  Will the same physics for the large body water be used in such small bodies of water?  I could see where that could potentially look very cool or could be problematic, depending on how much motion there will be.

I guess my question is for the terrain makers, and the most wonderful new things they most certainly will be experimenting with.  I can certainly appreciate the fact that many things beyond simply painting a nice picture is involved.  Thanks for the updade, I am positive that the final product will be more than pleasurable.

 :lol

I use the MSI 4830 1gb...

honestly I cant complain the card runs the game good....I shut everything off except detail terrain and water and use the Hires textures.

So does this mean I can go maxed graphics with my Radeon HD 5770's?  Though I am highly doubting that I'll be able to use any AA.  I use to have AA at max, would hold at 90 FPS, but I can't have it on at all or I'm lucky to get 20. :(
