Mission Posted Notice
« on: July 05, 2014, 07:47:56 AM »
:airplane:  I have been in this game about 4.5 years now and one of the things which I would like to see Hi Tech do is put a little notice up in the right hand corner of your monitor screen, so that everyone in that country would know there is a mission posted, and then that person could click on pick-up missions to see if they wanted to join the mish. Many, many times, I have been told, did not know there was mission posted!
I always put notices about my missions in the text buffer, but as everyone knows, with players posting info about the game in the text buffer, that notice of impending mission does not stay in view very long.
Maybe add something to the clip board, which says, "Mission Up", with a little light under it and if it is lit, then people would know that there is a mission posted!
A lot of people would join, especially the new players, if they knew a mish was up! Most people, by human nature, are not "loners" and would prefer to join in a "team" effort and would more than likely enjoy the game more!
I know that a lot of people like to just "furball" and that is well and good, but, how about doing something to alert people that there is another way to play the game!
Blue Skies and wind at my back and wish that for all!!!

Maybe include option for mission planner to opt out of notifying everyone. Some may not want to advertise a mission (spy haters).  :old:

Good idea!
This will be very good for new players and will reduce the "MISSION POSTED COME JOIN THE MISSION!!!!" cries on country channel. For the benefit of new players it will be nice if clicking the warning could bring up the clipboard with the "pickup mission" page open. Make it on by default but allow players to turn off these notices if they are not interested.

This one is a forehead slapper.  The text buffer is usually just a distraction and I don't look at it as part of my scan.

Could this indicator be like 4 letters FABG (Fighters, Attackers, Bombers, GVs) and indicate what were included in the mission? Letter could be green or red, dependent what was chosen in the mission.
So, if you don't like gv missions, you don't have to open missionplanner to chk this out.

:salute. +1 to the wish, even if the pickup missions just highlighted in red so when your clipboard is up ( who doesn't use this multiple times)

Or the pickup mission selector in the clipboard lights up bright green when missions are available.

:airplane: I appreciate all the replies guys and since any good company wants to satisfy their customer base, now less see if Hi Tech will apply this one little thing to improve our game play!
