My brother
« on: July 31, 2014, 08:07:28 PM »
My brother recently broke his knee at band practice yesterday and has been in a lot of pain (hasn't moved from the couch since he got back from the hospital). He loves doing marching band and this injury is taking away from him doing something he enjoys.

None of you guys have ever met him, and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate me posting this here, but if you could wish him a quick recovery it would be appreciated.

Get well soon man - busted knee is nature's way of telling you NOT to try to get back on the field before you're fully healed.

I never understood marching until my son joined his high school band.  That was four years ago.  I know how much your brother is feeling his knee but he will miss the group even more.  I was a football player in high school and I was always beating my chest about two-a-days.  That is until I watched my son's band in July.  NOBODY works harder or longer.  I hope your brother's injury is not serious.  I know it hurts but help him keep a positive outlook.

Wish him a speedy recovery. My Grandson was in the Marching Band also. They were very good probably because their Band Director was like a Drill Sargent.  :uhoh

I went to a smaller high school, so I played football and was in the marching band, just didnt march at the football games.  I marched in contest with a pretty nasty ankle sprain once.  It's not fun at all.

I was an avid runner from 2000 to 2004.  Some pretty major injuries forced me to quit.  Talk about a shock.  One of the few things that I *loved* to do, and bam!, gone.  That's the story, there is no happy ending.
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.
