Ran into BigR today. Pfffffft.
« on: August 16, 2014, 08:17:48 PM »
So I remember asking if there were any P-51 Experten out there a few months back.

Low and behold I ran into BigR today.   I was in a 38 for some reason but it didn't matter.   He promptly wrecked my plane and gave me a friendly PW to boot then landed ten kills.

I think I will just retire.   There is no way I will ever be that good.   EVER.

Yep, BigR can make you pay in a 51 and do it quickly. Very refreshing to run in to a non pick and run stang.

I'm just glad to see a post bout BigR!

Haven't seen him in-game or on the bbs in good while

Welcome back BigR.  Good seeing you playing. :salute

Now we just need a Shane sighting for the LA7 and M00T in the 152 and Grizz in the K4...then the toon world stars will be back in their proper alignment.

Whos the Grizz or M00T of the F4us?

Torque perhaps back when the C Hog was the prevalent MA plane - take the whines about Spit16 and the LA7 combines, and multiply by about 50, and then you get the C HOg whining back before it was perked.  I haven't seen Torque since those days, well over 10 years ago.

Karaya was back in the MA today as well.

BigR is one of the best P51 pilots of the modern day in the MA, without question.  TonyJoey taught me some P51 dueling a few years back, and he's incredible in it as well, I'd like to see the 2 of them duel in the Mustang.  BigR lands most of the large number kills consistently when he's playing in the MA.  Back when the hit bubbles were huge and the damage model much less complex, it was a lot easier to get kills, especially at longer ranges, and there were often double digit kill strings landed.  They are much, MUCH more rare now than back in the AH1 days, and like I said, BigR can still pull them off pretty regularly.

Shane wasn't just good in the La7, knowing all its strengths and quirks, but he was an incredible shot.  In fact, IMO that was his biggest strength, by FAR - incredible aim with those 3 nose cannons, I'd regularly see him connect with long range 4 to 600 yard crossing shots that many pilots don't even consider to take.

Kappa and Grizz - IMO no better dynamic duo to watch wing in the K4 and become Damage Incorporated in any sector they happen to fly into.

Anyone who can find the deploy flaps lever.

Love to meet people like that, especially those who are doing unorthodox things with unexpected planes. You could take it as an inspiration for what's possible.

What is it exactly that happened to Grizz? :headscratch:

Didnt fishu have a kill streak of over 200 in a 109? Torque was a scourge in the chog.

Skyrock was one of the deadliest hog pilots back in the day, unless he got tag teamed by Silat and me in mossies.

Tag teaming in mossies was almost unfair. :)

Whos the Grizz or M00T of the F4us?

Torque was among one of the best for sure, but here are some other pretty great hawg sticks

Widewing ( flys as tredlite now I think )
AKDogg
BigRat
SkyRock
Saxman
SirLoin
Dedalos

Heck, a lot of the "VF-17 Jolly Rogers squad", are pretty good....the f4u series is about all they fly

TonyJoey & Badboy are very good in it for the reason they fly/use textbook BFM, regardless of the plane they are in...

Sunsfan,  Bruv119, Grizz, Murdr, batfink, Shane all can hold their on as well for the same reason ( same goes for everyone I have listed honestly )

WldThing, wetrat(tartew)....

1 thing most everyone I have listed, have in common, they were hardcore AH KOTH event participants...

The order I listed is random order....sorry if my old mind as overlooked anyone, like I just now remembered humble and urchin and BigMax....

Where the heck is Silat? Haven't seen him in a few years but he's still on the Trainer's roster.

Ran into Betty yesterday. Another player I haven't seen in a blue moon.
