I do have a website up and running for a side business doing aerial photo work.. I jsut have it on a bit of a hold right now until all the FAA firestorm is done with... Sure, they have said the FAA doesnt have an official rule yet, and cant do anything, but, true or not, it would still cost a lot of cash to fight them legally if they tried to cite/fine me... Just not worth it IMO...

My URL though, for future reference:
http://www.unique-views.com

The FAA did put out rules but it was overturned by a lower court when the FAA failed to provide a public review period.  FAA went back to the drawing board and is now purposing even stricter rules, that included the original "The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is expected to impose strict limits on the use of drones, requiring flights to occur within daylight hours, rise no higher than 400 feet above the ground, and to remain within the sight of the person controlling the drone"  Plus for Commercial drone operators would be required to have a license and be trained to fly manned aircraft, even though drones are operated remotely".  They also grouped the drones by weight class, 55lbs and below that's everything, for none commercial use will need to demonstrate to an FAA Certified Flight Instructor that they know and understand the rules and have that endorsement in their position when operating the drone.

to operate a commercial drone you will need to have a valid commercial pilots rating.

Kinda overreacting isn't it? It's not like they're one of these:

Looks nice, better than Condor Aerial.  :ahand

IDK man, the Condor is pretty sweet in action. I have seen it a few times up close and personal, amazing machine that.

Due to the ongoing cost of providing systems that have 12-25 mile range and flight times up to 8 hours (most have 2-4 hours) our equipment starts around 30K (6 mile range 2 hour flight time) to 60-80K 12 mile range 4 hour flight time) and 210K 25 mile range 8 hour flight time, we don't normally provide our systems to the everyday commercial market.

That's our fixed wing segment. Our quad (with cameras to include thermal) would be in the 10K range and 30 minute flight time. We don't really have a large call for these because of the limited flight times.

I have to say that the new DJI Inspire is about the coolest thing I have seen in a while. 18 minute flight time sucks but what a great photography platform. I think its around 3K complete.

Be careful what you shoot at. Most things
in here don't react too well to bullets.

Already been done. I personally wouldn't want to be in the center of the blender though.

Oh wow , Cool . Need's to be bigger and close the pilot in .
On a side note if anyone is looking to get into a cheaper build like what I am doing I found a nice site here .
http://multirotormania.com/44-bundles
I ordered this one their .
http://multirotormania.com/multirotor-packages/303-f450-quad-complete-bundle.html   . Then I all ready have all my FPV cameras and GPS stuff to go on it . That run you another 500 plus another 300 or more if you don't have the radio transmitter . I'm running the Futaba transmitter 9 channel with a Dragon link long range system on it . Another 300 for the Dragon link .
